Our Services

Crisis Intervention services to victims of violent crime and the survivors of victims of homicide.

Court Accompaniment and information about the criminal justice process for survivors and victims during trial proceedings.

Assistance with Violent Crimes Compensation applications, victim impact statements, and the preparation and dissemination of specialized materials aimed at reducing the impact of violent crime on the victim.

Specialized Grief Education and Support, short and long term individual and peer group.

Assistance and Advocacy to victims of juvenile offenders through a partnership program with the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Information and Referral about other service providers and professional organizations.

Private Remembrance Ceremonies for the family and friends of homicide victims.

Community Education on victims’ issues, victims’ rights, resources for victims, and information about crime prevention through speaking engagements, training seminars and workshops.

Outreach to Rural Alaska victims of violent crime through our toll-free number and website and through Grief Recovery Workshops and structured group activities.

“Steps to Respect” Bully Prevention Initiative, a partnership of the Weed and Seed Initiative of East Anchorage and Victims for Justice.  Networking with local schools, child care providers, parents, and concerned citizens, this initiative seeks to reduce aggressive behaviors of children against other children.

Robbery Prevention Education and Outreach to at-risk businesses and those that have been robbed, through a partnership with Anchorage Police Department.

We offer our services free of charge.
