participants will “walk” in
the river at H2Oasis
Indoor Waterpark, a great, low-impact way to stay active.Breaks will be scheduled in the walking for fun-filled

National Crime Victims Rights Week -Awards Banquet
The
Victims for Justice Annual Awards Banquet is the kick-off event
for NCVRW.We recognize victims,
volunteers, and professionals who have made a difference in the fight
for
victims’ rights.The awardees are
celebrated after a formal dinner, followed by rousing activities to
benefit
Victims for Justice, Inc.

Dena'ina Convention Center, 6:00pm Doors Open.
The
VFJ Tree Ceremony is a centerpiece for National Crime
Victims’ Rights Week.In
conjunction with other local victims’ right organizations, we
honor all
victims of violent crime.The
public is invited to tie ribbons of various colors, denoting ten
categories of
violent crime, to the tree.Several
survivors of violent crime tell their story to emphasize the importance
of
keeping victims’ right in the public eye.

As
we continue to work for victims’ rights, we must never forget
those who have been forcefully taken from our lives by violence.The Victims for Justice Annual Monument
Ceremony is our
time to recognize
and remember each individual in our community who has been killed by
homicide.All guests gather at the
Homicide Victims Monument,
located at Hostetler Park.New names are
added and all names
are read, in remembrance of the loss.The
evening concludes with refreshments in the park.

HolidayOpen House
What
began as a
small function for clients in the home of one of our founders, has
becoming an
important community event which creates awareness about the free
services
available through Victims for Justice, while remembering victims of
violent
crime.Members of the public are
invited to attend so as to hang an ornament for their loved one on the
holiday
tree, learn more about VFJ, and come together during this special time
of the
year.
