H2Oasis Riverwalk for Justice

WIN TWO FREE TICKET ON ALASKA AIRLINES!!  For every $100 in donations a participant raises, they will be entered once in the drawing for 2 tickets anywhere on the Alaska Airlines system!

Teams or individuals are asked to raise funds in support of VFJ.  During the event, participants will “walk” in the river at H2Oasis Indoor Waterpark, a great, low-impact way to stay active.  Breaks will be scheduled in the walking for fun-filled activities and prizes will be given to top participants.

National Crime Victims Rights Week -  Awards Banquet

The Victims for Justice Annual Awards Banquet is the kick-off event for NCVRW.  We recognize victims, volunteers, and professionals who have made a difference in the fight for victims’ rights.  The awardees are celebrated after a formal dinner, followed by rousing activities to benefit Victims for Justice, Inc.

April, 2009.
For more information, go to our National Crime Victims' Rights Week page.

National Crime Victims Rights Week -  Tree Ceremony

The VFJ Tree Ceremony is a centerpiece for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.  In conjunction with other local victims’ right organizations, we honor all victims of violent crime.   The public is invited to tie ribbons of various colors, denoting ten categories of violent crime, to the tree.  Several survivors of violent crime tell their story to emphasize the importance of keeping victims’ right in the public eye.

April, 2009, Park Strip at 9th and G St., 12:00pm-1:00pm.
For more information, go to our National Crime Victims' Rights Week page.

Annual Monument Ceremony

As we continue to work for victims’ rights, we must never forget those who have been forcefully taken from our lives by violence.  The Victims for Justice Annual Monument Ceremony is our time to recognize and remember each individual in our community who has been killed by homicide.  All guests gather at the Homicide Victims Monument, located at Hostetler Park.  New names are added and all names are read, in remembrance of the loss.  The evening concludes with refreshments in the park.

Thursday, July 17th, 2008, Hostetler Park, 3rd and L St., 6:00pm.

Holiday Open House

What began as a small function for clients in the home of one of our founders, has becoming an important community event which creates awareness about the free services available through Victims for Justice, while remembering victims of violent crime.  Members of the public are invited to attend so as to hang an ornament for their loved one on the holiday tree, learn more about VFJ, and come together during this special time of the year.

Thursday, December 11th, 2008, Victims for Justice Office, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
